Mark Kareus

I have been a resident of the Grand Valley since 1957 and attended local public schools and Mesa College when it was a Junior College. After Mesa College I attended Colorado State University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Science. I have two adult boys and two granddaughters and am married to my wife Lani and have two step-daughters with husbands and three step-grandchildren.

I have been licensed in Colorado as a real estate broker since 1979 and have owned and managed two real estate companies and have worked for three others. I have worked for Hill & Homes for just over four years and have a full time assistant. Besides the brokerage of real estate I have been involved with residential land development and new home construction. I am a member of the Grand Junction Area Board of Realtors, Colorado State Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

I have had extensive real estate education including appraisal and property valuation courses, I am a CCIM Candidate (Certified Commercial Investment Member). Education combined with extensive experience gives me an edge over my competition. Since receiving my broker’s license I have sold and closed one thousand property sales with a dollar volume approaching $100 million. My real estate practice includes listing and selling residential properties as well as commercial and income properties.

Marketing and advertising real estate are my strongest areas of expertise, and I have a high percentage of listing sales and closings. I am currently developing my web site, however, all listings go on Realtor.com which has over two million properties listed throughout North America and is the most viewed website for real estate.
